NOMA
About
NOMA started in 2019 as a single room in Antwerp with eleven objects and a promise: nothing in the shop that we wouldn’t keep for twenty years ourselves.
Seven years later the catalogue has grown to twenty objects — deliberately. We add a piece only when a studio shows us something that survives the twenty-year question, and we retire a piece whenever the answer changes.
The name comes from no más — “no more”. As in: no more than you need, made no faster than it should be.
01
Every object credits its designer on the label, on the site, and on the invoice. Anonymous furniture is how quality dies.
02
Roughly seventy percent of the catalogue doesn't exist until you order it. No warehouses of unsold sofas, no landfill of last season.
03
Leather, oak, stone, wool, brass — we choose materials whose tenth year looks better than their first. Patina is the finish.
04
If a frame cracks or a joint loosens within a decade, we repair it — usually in the workshop that built it.
Visit the showroom: Kloosterstraat 42, Antwerp. Thursday to Sunday, 11–18.
